Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions Expands Operations

Mooresville, NC – Roush Yates Engines, a manufacturer of Ford engines for the NASCAR Cup Series, plans to expand its manufacturing operations in Iredell County. The company plans to invest $14 million by growing the Roush Yates’ advanced manufacturing division, Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions.  The expansion will include purchasing machinery and equipment and building a new 50,000 square foot facility next to its current location on Byers Creek Road in Mooresville.

Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions is a world class ISO 9001/ AS9100 advanced CNC manufacturing division that provides CNC machining, assembly, and testing for motorsports, aerospace, defense, space, and other high tech-industries.  Roush Yates Engines was established in 2003 and currently has two state-of-the-art facilities – Roush Yates Engines and Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions, in Mooresville.

Roush Yates was awarded contracts to manufacture components for NASCAR’s NextGen car for the coming year. The company diversified into new market areas with the help of the North Carolina Defense Industry Diversification Initiative (NCDIDI). Roush Yates has been a strong proponent of a new local initiative called ReVamp, modeled after NCDIDI, to help other motorsports companies diversify.

“Roush Yates is a leader in the motorsports and Mooresville community,” said Jenn Bosser, President & CEO, Iredell EDC. “They have contributed significantly to the success of advanced manufacturing through their partnership in helping NASCAR Tech launch a CNC Machining program and their promotion of ReVamp to help other component manufacturers diversify.”

“The Town of Mooresville and Iredell County has been an ideal location for our growth in advanced manufacturing due to the highly trained workforce and overall assistance from state and local officials.  This is our home, and we look forward to continued growth for years to come,” said, Doug Yates, President & CEO of Roush Yates Engines.

“We are excited Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions is expanding its operations in Iredell County.  Roush Yates is an industry pacesetter and has made strategic investments in both their company and our community.  We congratulate them for their innovations on and off the track and look forward to their continued success in the future.” said James Mallory, Chairman, Iredell County Board of Commissioners.

“Congratulation to Roush Yates on this announcement and their continued growth in Mooresville and Iredell County. Roush Yates Engines is a model company, and we are proud to have them in our community,” said Mayor Miles Atkins.
