Living Income Standard 2022: Iredell County

If you have ever wondered how Iredell County compares to other North Carolina counties in terms of living income and household expenses, we have insight to share from a recent study conducted by the North Carolina Budget and Tax Center.

The North Carolina Budget and Tax Center released a study earlier this month providing a closer look at the expenses that different families need to make ends meet across North Carolina. A family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) need to bring in $69,180 per a year to meet the living income standard in Iredell County.  (Data link: https://ncbudget.org/lis/)

Living Income Standard for 2022

The Living Income Standard (LIS) provides a more accurate and comprehensive picture than more traditional measures of what it takes for a family to make ends meet in each of North Carolina’s 100 counties.
