Iredell EDC Names New Research Analyst and Vice President of Economic Development
Iredell EDC is pleased to welcome Shawn Cummins as our new research analyst and fill and instrumental role in the organization in responding to requests for information, researching and compiling market data, and developing visualization tools for the EDC to help market our community. Shawn is a graduate of University of North Carolina Charlotte with a degree in Geospatial Information Systems. Prior to joining Iredell EDC he worked at ESRI, the global market leader in geographic information system (GIS) software, location intelligence, and mapping. Chad Thomas has been promoted to Vice President, Economic Development. Chad joined Iredell EDC in January 2021 and leads the organization’s new business development, existing industry expansion, and product development efforts. During his tenure Chad helped cultivate over $1.5 billion in new investment in Iredell County. This includes $947 Million in investment and the creation of 1,800 jobs from new and existing companies and $540 Million in new investment in new industrial development product representing 7.2 million SF in each of our local municipalities.
