Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization Approves $51 Million in Funding

The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) Board approved funding for several regional transportation
projects at its February 16, 2022, Board meeting. These funds support projects across the CRTPO planning area; investing in
transportation needs to support our growing region. The CRTPO Board awarded $51,070,000 in discretionary project funds,
supporting 18 projects across eight CRTPO jurisdictions.

The projects receiving these funds in Iredell County are

  • Mooresville, Vision Zero Action Plan, Funding $48,000, Town of Mooresville Erika Martin, emartin@mooresvillenc.gov
  • Mooresville, Sidewalk Package(White Oak Road, Maple Ave, McNeely Ave, Rocky Rive School), $1,979,000, Town of Mooresville Erika Martin, emartin@mooresvillenc.gov
  • Mooresville, South Elementary School to Mooresville Middle School Greenway Connectors (multiple connections), $1,833,000, Town of Mooresville Erika Martin, emartin@mooresvillenc.gov
  • Troutman, Troutman Mobility Plan, $96,000, Town of Troutman Andrew Ventresca, aventresca@troutmannc.gov
