Economic Development Riders

Duke Energy, EnergyUnited, Electricities, and Dominion Energy offer eligible company grants based on consumption.  Duke Energy offers a Smart Saver Incentive Program that can offer cash for installing high-efficiency lighting, HVAC, pumps and other qualifying equipment, www.duke-energy.com for more information.

Town of Mooresville Water Rebate

The Town of Mooresville offers a water rebate program.  Any company that resides in the Town of Mooresville and consumes over 100,000,000 gallons in a fiscal calendar year (July 1 – June 30) may be eligible to receive a 3% rebate after meeting the threshold.

Customized Training Funds

Through North Carolina Community College System, Mitchell Community College offers the Customized Training Funds, which supports the economic development efforts of the State by providing education and training opportunities for eligible business and industry.  MCC works with your company to choose core and industry specific topics to train your new employees or upgrade the skills of longtime employees.  Services range from job profiling to post-hiring training in technical and critical soft skills.  The goal is to provide industry specific training to support your company’s goals.

If your company is creating jobs, investing in new machinery and equipment or streamlining processes for efficiency, you may qualify.

On-the Job Training

Centralina Workforce Development Board offers On-the-job (OJT) reimbursements.  An employer can receive a 50% or more reimbursement for training for pre-qualified dislocated workers.

UpSkills Carolina

UpSkills is an initiative of the Centralina Workforce Development Board that offers competitive training grants designed to address employees’ skill gaps and thereby help your business grow, Upskills Centralina.
