Battle Copacking Builds Facility in Mooresville, NC

Mooresville, NC – Battle Copacking, a provider of packaging and bottling solutions to innovative craft beer, beverage, food, and spirit companies plans to build a state-of-the-art beverage co-packing facility in Mooresville, NC.  The $13.6 million investment will create up to 20 new full-time jobs with average wages above the Iredell County average wage.

Battle Copacking, a new business venture for Battle Packaging, LLC, will provide services to both new and current customers of Battle Packaging.  Battle Packaging, based in Atlanta, GA, has been operating in the beverage packaging sector for over 40 years.

The Mooresville facility will service beverage brands by filling various types of drinks ranging from classic soda, flavored seltzers, energy drinks, and ready to drink alcoholic beverages.

The investment will include purchasing advanced equipment and constructing a new 128,000 sf facility in Deerfield Business Park, Mooresville, NC.  The facility is expected to be fully completed by December 31, 2022.

“I cannot begin to explain how excited I am about this project.  My wife and I moved to Mooresville in 2015 after looking for the perfect place to live and raise children.  Since then, I have been looking for an opportunity to invest in the area, and Battle Copacking is the perfect opportunity.  We plan to bring great jobs that perfectly suit the deep skilled labor pool that exists here.  The resources found in this area are fantastic, and we are excited to grow with the community,” said Jerry Kaufman, Executive Vice-President of Strategic Development.

“Mooresville is excited to welcome Battle Copacking to our business community and celebrate their choice to do business in our county.  This announcement is a testament to the infrastructure available in Mooresville and the ability to support and attract rapidly growing companies” said Mayor Miles Atkins.

The Iredell County and Town of Mooresville Board of Commissioners each have voted to support the project by offering the company an economic development incentive grant on January 4, 2022.  The discretionary incentives that have been offered are in accordance with the policies of each jurisdiction.

Partners involved in the project include the Town of Mooresville, Iredell County, North Carolina Community College System, Mitchell Community College, and Iredell County Economic Development Corporation.
