2023 NC Main Street Conference Draws 750 to Downtown Statesville

Statesville, NC – Downtown Statesville was proud to host the 2023 North Carolina Main Street Conference, bringing in over 750 attendees. This 3-day annual conference, organized by North Carolina Department of Commerce and its North Carolina Main Street Center, explored downtown revitalization and economic development strategies. The conference took place at the Statesville Civic Center and various locations throughout Downtown Statesville, showcasing many of the establishments, programs, events, and investments of Downtown stakeholders.
Keynote speakers and session presenters for the conference inspired economic development professionals, elected officials and local government leaders, community champions and volunteers, business and property owners, and other conference attendees with trends, initiatives, and success stories for their own downtown and community revitalization.
As part of the program two of our local Main Street communities and individuals were recognized as Champions. Congratulations to Marin Tomlin, Allen Tate Real Estate named as the Downtown Statesville Champion and Councilmember Bobby Compton, Town of Mooresville as the Downtown Mooresville Champion.
