Paint company Sherwin-Williams is investing $324 million and adding 183 jobs in Statesville, NC (Iredell County).

Talk of an economic slowdown doesn’t appear to be hitting North Carolina hard. At least not right now when it comes to economic development in the state, where up to 88,000 jobs are up for grabs from expanding and relocating companies.

Christopher Chung, CEO of the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, said activity is high across the state. EDPNC’s pipeline sits at 236 projects as of July. Supplement maker BestCo is investing $177 million and creating 394 jobs in Mooresville.
